Privacy, in plain English

ProfitPlus reads your vendor invoices and keeps track of your inventory and prices. Here's exactly what that involves.

What we keep

• Your name, email and password for signing in (the password is stored encrypted — we can't see it).
• Your restaurant's name, locations, vendors, item list, counts, par levels and prices.
• The invoice photos you take, and the lines read from them.
• First names of staff you invite. Staff don't need an email or password.

How invoice photos are read

When you scan an invoice, the photo is sent to Anthropic (the company that makes the Claude AI) so it can read the vendor, items, quantities and prices. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API isn't used to train its AI models. We send only the invoice photo and your item list — never your password or payment details.

Who can see your data

• Only people on your team, and only what their role allows. Staff can scan invoices and count — they never see prices, costs, reports or billing.
• Each restaurant's data is walled off from every other restaurant at the database level, not just in the app.
• We don't look at your data unless you ask us for help.
• We never sell your data and never show you ads.

The companies that run ProfitPlus

• Supabase — stores your data and photos (photos are private and only shown to your team through short-lived links).
• Vercel — runs the app.
• Anthropic — reads invoice photos, as described above.
• Stripe — handles payments. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us.
• Resend — sends the weekly price alert and monthly report emails.

Your data is yours

• Download everything as spreadsheets (CSV) anytime from Billing & data — even after you cancel.
• If your plan lapses, your account becomes read-only. We never delete it without telling you first.
• Deleting your account removes your restaurant, photos and data right away. Backup copies age out within 30 days.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember which location you're viewing. No tracking or advertising cookies.
